On 1 May 2021, Walter was finally inducted during the live held 'Virtual Ceremony (Live) Class of 2020 Inductions & Award' ceremony into the IMSHOF

4 years after his induction into ISHOF Poenisch, Walter (2017) Pioneer Open Water Swimmer, USA the last wrong (in my opinion) has been adjusted.
